Dominique Lucas

Inspired by the myth and legends of native African tribes this is the first jewellery collection created by talented designer Dominique Lucas. The eponymous label has launched for spring 11 and Lucas has collaborated with ADD, a charity which supports Aids prevention.

These pieces will make the perfect accessory to white or nude light-weight knits this spring. Every piece is silver, and then oxidised or plated in black rhodium, or finished in 24 carat rose or yellow gold.

The label currently lists Florence-based boutique and art gallery La Galleria 13  as its only stockist, so it would make a great UK exclusive for any premium boutique out there.

Nike Air Royal Mid + Harris Tweed

I don't profess to be a sneaker freak but when I saw this genius collab in the window of Offspring I couldn't resist. This partnership puts Scottish heritage (Weir...ahem) in the limelight by using hand woven Harris Tweed on a Nike Royal Mid. The result is a sleek sneaker with a formal twist and tons of fabric interest. The style comes in men's and women's versions in a purple and a green, and both have a brown leather upper. ♥♥

P.s this isn't the first time Nike has teamed up with Harris Tweed

Leon Talley's protege

Emerging designer LaQuan Smith has two fierce mentors by his side - Tyra 'smiizzze' Banks and Andre Leon Talley of Vogue. The designer made his New York Fashion Week debut last spring and has designed for Lady Gaga, Rhi Rhi and the like. While his design aesthetic is quite American - with it's clean, sleek finish and taupe palette - and his name makes it difficult to take him seriously, his pattern cutting and accomplished voluminous silhouettes are interesting and with those two on board, few are going to cross him. ♥♥

Endovanera

This Californian label hasn't hit the UK market yet - but it's one to watch out for. Autumn 10 sees the first full women's collection by designer David Michael Hershberger touch down in only the coolest indies including New York's Oak and Isetan in Tokyo. Androgynous and precise pattern cutting underpins this collection which uses easy-going jersey and cottons to conjur up a perfectly ethereal, wearable and fresh collection.
